Although Amy started out studying silversmithing at university, she always dreamt of a career in photography. Feeling as though it was too far out of reach as a full time job, Amy found other ways to enjoy photography and she started a side job as a wedding photographer. Eventually this side gig helped her to finance her degree.

My aim through photography is to bring senses to life. Everything from hearing the engines roar, to the classic car smells - I want people to feel as if they came along for the ride.

Having the ability to shoot at high ISOs with the confidence that the images will still be of a high quality is invaluable – especially as I often only get one chance to take a shot. The focus tracking abilities of my Nikon Z 9 enable me to hold composition and maintain focus on the subject in front of me, always allowing me to achieve my creative vision.

As someone who likes to shoot imagery at night, a sharp-focusing camera that works in low light is incomparable. What’s even more important is having kit that is able to think for me and capture the exact scene into a still – which is just one of the many reasons that I’ve stuck with Nikon for all these years!
