London, United Kingdom: Nikon UK officially announces the appointment of two new photographers to its Ambassador line-up, Conor McDonnell and Ross Harvey.
Ross Harvey is an international award-winning destination wedding photographer who, having left his day job in 2010, has built a stellar reputation as one of the world's leading exponents of the art, with a slew of wedding photography accolades and awards under his belt. Ross has also received critical acclaim for his unique documentary style street photography work.
Conor McDonnell has built a rapidly successful career as an entertainment photographer – including touring with musicians Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris, and photographing the Big Day for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Conor also finds time to campaign on environmental issues through his photography including supporting renowned explorer Pen Hadow on his 2017 Arctic Mission, as well as becoming an ambassador for conservation organisation, WWF.
Conor and Ross join current Nikon Ambassador, Automotive Photographer Amy Shore to complete this year’s line-up. Amy is an award-winning automotive and lifestyle photographer based in Leicestershire who takes a journalistic and storytelling approach to automotive photography. For the last 4 years, Amy has photographed for prestigious clients worldwide.
The Nikon Ambassador initiative was introduced in 2013 to celebrate class-leading photographers working in specific fields of photography, whilst inspiring people to pick up their camera and reach their creative potential. The Ambassadors work with Nikon on a range of activities, from seminars at key events to social media and PR campaigns.
Nikon’s prestigious Ambassador Alumni include; Richard Peters – award-winning wildlife photographer, Helen Sloan – Game of Thrones Principle Stills Photographer, Leon Neal – Editorial photographer for Getty Images and multi-award winning Fine Art photographer and author Kirsty Mitchell, to name a few.
