Award-winning photographer Steve McCurry has returned to India over 80 times since his first visit in 1978. To celebrate the release of his new book, Steve McCurry: India (published by Phaidon), join McCurry as he discusses his long-standing love and commitment to recording India’s wondrous diversity.
From Rajasthani desert dust storms to monsoon-flooded Bengali villages, his photographs document the country’s wealth of culture and colour. His oeuvre spans conflicts, vanishing cultures, ancient traditions and contemporary culture alike, and yet always retains the human element that made his celebrated photograph of the Afghan Girl such a potent image.
This is a rare opportunity to hear the internationally renowned Magnum photographer present his latest body of work.
Your ticket will include a signed copy of Steve McCurry: India (RRP £39.95), and there will be an opportunity to get your book personalized after the talk.
