THE WINNERS

A panel of independent judges drawn from a cross-section of the industry will select a shortlist of entries, which will be exhibited at an awards ceremony at the end of the year.

The short-listed winners will be notified personally, so please include a daytime phone number.

The organisers will appoint all judges. The judges’ decision is FINAL. No correspondence or appeal concerning the competition’s judging and the organisation of the Award will be entered into.

Competition winners may be contacted for PR and marketing purposes relating to the competition.

COPYRIGHT AND SUBJECT RELEASES

You MUST ensure that you are the sole author and owner of the copyright for all images entered.

Full copyright remains with the photographer, however, by entering the contest you agree to licence the images to BJP and Nikon to publish the images and use them in connection with the competition, this year and in future years, TO PROMOTE the competition. NEITHER NIKON OR BJP WILL USE THE IMAGES FOR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL PURPOSES.
Where an image is used, the photographer will be credited.

Where appropriate, you MUST have model and property releases for subjects featured in your photographs. Photographers must, if required, be able to produce signed authorization from featured subjects.

RISK & INSURANCE

Entries will NOT be returned unless exceptional arrangements have been agreed with BJP before submission.

All entries are sent at the photographer’s risk. Neither BJP nor Nikon will accept any responsibility for the loss or damage of any submissions, however caused.

Photographers are advised not to submit originals and to arrange adequate insurance cover against these risks.
