HOW TO ENTER

Entries MUST be a portfolio of work of between six to 20 photographs PLUS a 16 x 20 inch exhibition quality print. See Terms & Conditions

WHAT TO SUBMIT

A portfolio:
Entries must be submitted digitally on a CD/DVD (See technical specifications).

A print:
Size: 16 x 20 inch Quality: Exhibition quality

CLOSING DATE

Portfolios must be submitted to the tutor in charge of coordinating entries for the competition. All entries MUST arrive no later than 5pm on 31 October 2008 at BJP.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The photographs can be shot in any format, using any camera model, on film or digital but images must be supplied to BJP(www.bjphoto.co.uk) as digital files.

If you are entering a series of images, please indicate the viewing order if appropriate. A series should consist of 2-20 related images. No more then 20 images should be submitted in total, and no less then six minimum.

Entries not presented as stated within the rules will NOT be accepted for judging.

Digital format:
Save images as high quality scans on a cross-platform (ISO9660) CD. Scans should be 20-30MB each, saved as RGB.

Do not use subfolders when saving images onto CD.

Please label each image with surname_firstname01/02/03/04. Please indicate if any are part of a series and label appropriately.

Full contact details and picture details should be inserted into the pull-down-file information box, for example, from File>File Info in Photoshop.

Captions or a short text can be included with photographs. Please include this as a Word document on the CD with the same file name as the images to which it corresponds. The text/captions should be no longer than one sheet of A4 paper when printed out.

Exhibition Prints:
Please label the back of all prints. Include any text as part of the portfolio.

Entries MUST be marked clearly with the student’s name, college, email and daytime contact telephone number.
