Overview
This course is designed for users wishing to understand the technology behind Nikon’s cameras and utilise the range of features incorporated into Nikon’s professional Digital SLR cameras. The course will include an in-depth outline of these technologies and give a practical understanding of the latest features with hands on sessions.

Aims
This course is aimed for anyone with previous experience of using a Digital SLR but needs to rapidly improve their awareness of the D3/D3x/D700.
It has been designed to explain the technology in the camera and improve awareness of when to apply specific features and settings. The course also gives a practical opportunity to become familiar with the key features, more advanced control settings and custom options of the camera. It will illustrate some of the creative possibilities through practical project work that focuses upon the effective use of this hardware.
Content
Through demonstrations and practical sessions you will become familiar with the D3/D3x/D700’s major controls and functions. Factory default settings will be explained and their rationale discussed. Guidance will be given on menu options, putting shooting and custom choices into practice.
You will also learn about file format options and the benefits of NEF Raw files. Active Picture control, Scene Recognition system, 51 Point Auto Focus system with 3D tracking, Active D Lighting control and Live View modes will be discussed. An overview will be given of Nikon’s i-TTL Speedlights operation and capabilities using the Creative Lighting System.
