Nikon D300/D300S Digital SLR 2 Day Course

This two-day course is designed for anyone with little experience of using a Digital SLR and would like to improve their awareness of the D300. It has been designed to explain the technology of the camera. While giving delegates in-depth practical opportunities to become familiar with the features of the D300, more advanced control settings and custom options of the camera will be discussed as well. The course will illustrate some of the creative possibilities through practical project work that focuses upon the effective use of both hardware and software using various workflow options, including the latest versions of View NX, Capture NX and Nikon Transfer software. The course will introduce delegates to colour management principles and outline the choices available when using the D300 Digital SLR.
Through demonstrations and practical sessions, delegates will become familiar with the D300’s controls and functions. Factory default settings will be explained and their rational discussed. Guidance will be given on menu options putting shooting and custom choices into practice. Delegates will learn about file format options and the benefits of NEF Raw files. Active Picture control, Scene Recognition system, 51 Point Auto Focus system with 3D tracking, Active D Lighting control, White balance, metering systems and Live View modes will be discussed with practical exercises. Delegates will have an opportunity to become more familiar with imaging software including View NX, Nikon transfer, Capture NX and Adobe Photoshop Plug-in operation. Camera Speedlight and modes of operation with practical demonstrations together with an overview of Nikon’s external I-TTL Speedlights operation and capabilities will be given using the Creative Lighting System.
